After almost two weeks of rain we finally got some clear days. Monday evening’s sky was particularly beautiful with pink clouds and a yellow glow on the horizon.
After sunset we walked to a little bridge that crossing the Selker Noor and the Haddebyer Noor south of Schleswig, Germany. From the little beach one has a perfect view to the northwest sky. The silence at this time of day is beautiful — only interrupted by birds’ cries and distant boats humming on the Schlei, a narrow inlet of the Baltic Sea way up in Northern Germany.
I was running to take this photo, as the colors had already begun to fade. I quickly screwed on my polarizer, put the camera on the tripod, and took the photo (f8, 1,3 seconds, ISO 100). In post-processing I added some contrast and a bit of saturation (not much needed). I also brightened up the foreground a bit in Lightroom. The poles were brightened separately, as they were only black sticks in the original version.
