I love the play of light in photography. I was sitting at my desk in my home office when I turned to see our cat, Gypsy, sitting at the top of the stairs behind me. The afternoon light was streaming in and lighting her up in such a beautiful way that I just had to try to capture her.

As a pet photographer I know that cats are not the easiest to command so imagine my thrill when she stayed right where she was while I got my camera. The resulting image really shows the personality of our feline friends and the natural lighting, for me, is just awesome.
