They have recently updated the actual Networked Blogs app to include some things that make the community aspect of the app even stronger. You can watch a video showing the new design changes on their website. What I like about this app is that you can subscribe to other blogs right inside of Facebook. With the redesign, you can also follow those blogs through a built-in RSS reader without having to leave Facebook. Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like on a live account.

So if you’re a heavy Facebook user or you just want a nice-looking RSS reader within the Facebook environment, you should look into the Networked Blogs app for Facebook.

• Write your homepage title first – it is the most likely page to rank well
• Describe the page – Google rewards honesty and users want to know what they are about to see
• Be specific – use adjectives and locations to help rank for niche phrases
• Keep it concise – anything more than about 60 characters gets cut off
• Don’t list a bunch of keywords in a row – nobody will click a link like that in search results
• Consider removing your company name – make more room for other keywords since you can rank on your own name without it being in the title
• Use more important keywords at the beginning

Let me add one more suggestion. If you are using a WordPress.org website, consider adding the All-in-one SEO plugin to your site. It gives you some global options for all of your pages and posts and let’s you write unique titles, descriptions, and keywords for each page or post. It’s an invaluable tool to help you rank higher with search engines.

Don’t let the simplicity of these photography SEO tips fool you. They will help your site rank higher and–when combined with good content and images–will move your portfolio site or blog up the ladders of the search engines.
