This shot was taken in Victoria, BC. I liked the guitar player’s beard and set up to get a shot of him. Someone walked up to give him money, so I had to make sure and include that as well. Their moment of connection is now immortalized. I think the body language of the guy giving the money is interesting because he seems to be doing his best to keep his distance from “Dave”. His generosity is there, but he still doesn’t want to get too close. Dave appears not to mind. These are the moments that I love to capture because they’d otherwise be gone in an instant.

    @Bryan:

    Definitely an interesting moment. You caught it at the right time, I can tell. And I love the overhead angle. Gives you more interesting composition choices, which you took advantage of. I would like to see more images of Dave. He looks like an interesting guy with an interesting story.

    Sorry, no more pictures of Dave. There was a walkway along the water and then a higher walkway where the roads and sidewalks were. I got a few shots from the elevated vantage point and I felt like they had a unique feel to them compared to other street shots.
